Station 70 In The Community
We do many things for
the community outside of running emergency calls. Freeport VFD assists
various organizations around the Borough with organizing and planning
various parades, such as the Memorial Day Parade, Christmas Parade, and Homecoming
Parade. We also completely sponsors and organizes the annual Halloween
Parade.
Every year, we help
set up the Easter Egg Hunt at the Freeport Community Park. We also
assist with the Freeport Area School District's annual Fall Sports Pep
Rally at the football field, and every summer we set up standby crews in
the area for the International Baseball Invitational fireworks night.
Want to take a tour of
our station? We will
be more than happy to set up a date and time with you. This is a good
idea for birthday parties or any groups involving kids, like the cub
scouts. Just give us a call at our station and we can give you more
information.
Freeport VFD and EMS
also provides Fire Prevention Week and EMS Week presentations at the Freeport Kindergarten Center and various area
preschools. If you want more information on these presentations feel
