Freeport VFD and Freeport EMS is based in the Borough of Freeport in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania.  Freeport is located 25 minutes Northeast of the City of Pittsburgh.

Freeport VFD is an all-volunteer department that provides 24/7 fire and rescue services for the Borough and surrounding communities with two engines, a light rescue, and a squad, equipped with many firefighting and rescue equipment.  We are often called to assist in South Buffalo Township, Buffalo Township, Allegheny Township, and Harrison Township.

Freeport EMS provides 24/7 Advanced Life Support EMS coverage for Freeport Borough, South Buffalo Township, Buffalo Township, Allegheny Township, and Winfield Township, with three state certified ALS ambulances.

Station 70 is located at 400 Market Street in Freeport. It has two large, two-vehicle deep bays and one double-wide bay with a spot for a third vehicle along the Market Street side, and one single vehicle bay downstairs along the 4th Street side. On the first floor is the EMS equipment room with extra supplies for the Ambulances and the Rescue when they need to be re-stocked, the EMS bunk room with two beds, a communications room with the base radios, and the Chief's office with his computer, extra equipment, and various files. Downstairs, there is the EMS and fireman's lounge with chairs, couches, two TV's and a computer, and the EMS office with three computers, the Supervisor's desk, the Director's desk, and various EMS files. Upstairs is the social hall with tables, chairs, and a kitchen.
